The Vulvani ? Seriously?
Maybe she could replace Clarkson on Top Gear.

Should read "Furiosa steals the show. Men nowhere are actually pissed, but we're going to write an article like this is a thing."

Im a man and I loved this movie. I will be seeing it again soon as well.

I saw it twice, but did not see any feminism.
I did, however, find myself rooting for the bad guys occasionally.

Kinda old news, but yea, MRAs (a misnomer if there ever was one) were seriously butthurt about this movie, which made an already awesome movie even more enjoyable IMO. We Hunted The Mammoth has a few different write-ups on their boycott and subsequent denial of boycott.
Most of their complaints, if you re-watch the first three movies, have zero basis (on top of just being silly). In literally every one of them, both men and women “bark orders” at Max, including his own wife: “GET IN THE CAR, DON’T ASK QUESTIONS!” Tina Turner literally runs Thunderdome. Plenty of women in Road Warrior disagreeing with Max. Etc. He’s always been a loner with not much to say getting drawn into conflicts that aren’t necessarily his own, but does the right thing anyway. Isn’t that a better character than an oppressive jerk just intent on keeping women “in their place?” Apparently not, in the minds of some people.

“Men nowhere” = AVFM, apparently.
We Hunted The Mammoth: keyword Mad Max

Doof stole the show.

Yeah, but this fringe group does not equal "Men Everywhere".

Never heard of We Hunted The Mammoth until today.

“Furiosa Steals Show. Men Everywhere Are Pissed”
Seems to be an unfair generalization on your part.

Blame OP’s title choice, then, as the Reuters article only mentions “many male action-film fans” in passing.

I accept the criticism. My headline was meant to be provocative, and is at least theoretically borne up by the content in the article that I posted.
For my part, I will
not
be watching the movie, though I think it is an absolutely
grand
thing that Furiosa
does
steal the show.

I blame the media blowing something way out of proportion. Again.
also the OP's title.

Having seen the movie, Max does as much of the ass kicking as anybody else. It's a pretty fair share of the responsibility all around. I don't see the problem with the movie.

This is provocative, with the added benefit of targeting the group you’re talking about directly while not grouping the rest of us with them.

Interesting. I take your point. I would argue that most chauvinists would see that word in the headline and immediately decide that whatever followed would not apply to them, as they would not consider themselves chauvinists.

Fair point, I’d argue though that a chauvinist would read your headline and immediately dismiss it as some “feminist whining” and continue on their way. The cognitive dissonance of internet dwellers these days is mind boggling.
I’ll wait for Mad Max to hit Blue-Ray/Netflix/Streaming to watch it. I find not many movies these days make me want to drop $80 to watch them in theaters.

Thanks for the nice chat today; I appreciate it. I suspect that your sensitivities and mine are not far apart.
As for the Netflix part, I just upgraded to a 52-inch #used Panasonic Plasma for $200 with a crackin’ wall mount and I haven’t bought a cinema ticket in many years. I would probably never consider watching
Furiosa
and the
Vulvina
, except I might glance at it sometime to see what all this Furiosa fuss is about. Violence and carnage and rape I can do without.

I guess it’s not for everyone, I grew up playing rugby so the sight of blood doesn’t have that effect on me. The whole rape thing does make me uncomfortable though, I guess I can watch it on TV because I can convince myself that it’s not really happening.
